June Garden Tour

I am sharing a tour of my Spring flower garden.
We have had a lot of rain here in Gaspé lately,
along with cooler temperatures.

Most photos taken under cloudy conditions.

Our summers are short, with a

hardiness grow zone of 5a

We have to be grateful and appreciate
the beauty God has given us.

~Chokecherry Tree~

~Bleeding Hearts~
I finally get them to grow for me.

Hostas emerging to start another year~

 Forget~Me~Nots wander throughout the garden
Their flowers lasting about a month in Spring.
They reseed themselves.

Pink, White and Blue Forget-Me-Nots....

 ~Beachwood-from the beach nearby~

The rose bushes are starting to get their leaves.

Below, beyond the birdbath is
 my "Jungle". beyond weeding,
I have planted many types
of trees here over the years.
Beside the birdbath is a Chestnut tree.

The path in the Jungle
On the right is a Hazelnut Bush.

 Forget-Me-Nots here also.

When they are finished
 flowering, they go to seed,
 I will cut the grass
 and spread their seeds elsewhere.

 ~Ferns, gracefully unfurling~

More Ferns

~The Front Garden~
the Plum tree is a late bloomer.

In this garden I have a
 miniature hostas collection
 and hens'n'chickens.
(These hostas are later coming out)

~The Strawberry Patch ~
It's doing well with all the rain we've had.

At the back - the trees
got their leaves last week
A quiet spot

In the Greenhouse:
I planted Zinnias in my large terracotta pots
 instead of Nasturtiuns this yr.
(except the lst. pot in front on the right)

I found, 5 different types of Zinnias.
I'm anxious to see them in flower.

“In the garden
I tend to drop my thoughts here and there.
To the flowers I whisper the secrets I keep
and the hopes I breathe.
I know they are there to eavesdrop
for the angels.”
~Dodinsky~

Thanks for your visit.
